Billing & Insurance

At this time, Spark Pediatric Therapy does not accept insurance. We are an out-of-network provider accepting private-pay clients. Upon request, we will provide you with a superbill as a statement of your services. You can submit the superbill on your own behalf to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. It is highly recommended that you check with your insurance company to determine what out-of-network speech services are included in your plan. A doctor's referral is not needed for an evaluation or services at Spark Pediatric Therapy.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • How do I know if my child needs therapy?
We provide complimentary consultation calls and would be delighted to discuss your specific observations. We can offer guidance on whether an evaluation and therapy would be beneficial for your child. For more information, click here for signs of speech, language, stuttering, feeding, and myofunctional disorders in children, along with the expected age range for each.
  • Where is therapy provided?
Therapy sessions are typically held in a child's home, daycare, or school, but we're flexible and open to finding creative solutions to meet the child and family's needs. If needed, we can arrange services at a park or another suitable creative space. We provide therapy services to families in eastern Loudoun County and western Fairfax County, including areas like Great Falls, Reston, Herndon, Sterling, Ashburn, and Leesburg. If you're not sure if you're in our service area, feel free to ask us!
  • Can you work with my child if they already receive therapy services at school?
Absolutely! There are occasions when the frequency of services a child receives at school may not be sufficient. If you believe your child could benefit from additional private services, we're here to assist you.
  • My child didn't qualify for EI or school-based services. Can you still work with them?
Certainly! Often, formal assessments and scores don't paint the complete picture, and additional services could be beneficial for the child. We're here to offer that support.
  • How do I get started?
To get started with speech therapy or feeding therapy, fill out our online contact form. We will reach out to you to schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation call to discuss your concerns, answer your questions, and determine if a speech, language, or feeding evaluation is recommended.
  • Do you require an evaluation to begin therapy?
All new clients must be evaluated prior to beginning therapy unless an evaluation has occurred in the last six months in the areas of concern. We believe that evaluations are crucial in guiding our treatment process to ensure the best possible outcomes in therapy.
  • Can I be present for my child's session?
Absolutely! We warmly welcome your presence during your child's sessions, as your involvement can be incredibly valuable. However, we also understand if you need some time to recharge. In such cases, we simply ask that you remain nearby and accessible. Rest assured, if there's specific information we believe you should know or activities we'd like you to observe, we'll be sure to communicate that to you.
  • Will you collaborate with my child's other providers?
Absolutely! We strongly believe in collaboration, as we've seen better outcomes when providers work together.
  • Do you provide teletherapy?
Online teletherapy services are available to all residents of Virginia and offer added convenience for busy families.
